Systems Architecture Built for Luxury

Strong digital experiences depend on technology foundations that suit the needs of the business. Skywire designs systems architecture for luxury brands across ecommerce, content, customer data and operational platforms, with performance, security and future change considered from the outset.

Composable by design

We design technology ecosystems that connect ecommerce platforms, content management systems, ERPs, CRMs and bespoke applications into a clear, maintainable architecture.

We use composable and API-first approaches where they suit the organisation. This can mean selecting specialist platforms for particular capabilities, retaining systems that continue to serve the business and defining integrations that allow the wider platform to evolve in stages.

The architecture is shaped around customer journeys, operational requirements and the team's capacity to manage it.

Frequently Asked

What is composable architecture?

Composable architecture combines separate, specialised systems for capabilities such as commerce, content, search and personalisation, connected through APIs. It can allow individual parts of a platform to change independently, but it is not right for every organisation. We assess the benefits against integration complexity, operating requirements and long-term cost.

How do you handle legacy system integration?

We first map the legacy system, data flows, dependencies and operational risks. Depending on the context, we may use APIs or an integration layer to connect it with newer platforms and plan modernisation in phases, reducing disruption to day-to-day operations.

What about performance and scalability?

We consider expected traffic patterns, peak events, application behaviour and third-party dependencies when shaping an architecture. Caching, content delivery, capacity, monitoring and scaling strategies are selected to suit the platform and its risk profile. Performance is then measured and refined as the system evolves.

Do you provide architecture documentation?

Architecture work is documented at a level appropriate to the engagement. This may include system context and component diagrams, data flows, integration specifications, infrastructure topology and decision records. We keep documentation practical so delivery and internal teams can maintain it as the platform changes.
