From Friday 9th September until Wednesday 14th September, New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is back – and one of the schedule highlights is set to provide visitors with serious insights into what fashion will soon look like in a Web3 world.
Nolcha Shows is an award-winning event – now in its 14year – that takes place during NYFW, providing independent fashion designers with an opportunity to showcase their collections to press, retailers, stylists, and industry influencers from around the world.
For this autumn’s NYFW, Cointelegraph has reported that Nolcha Shows will be producing the NYFW Web3 edition, to be held on the iconic 3 World Trade Center’s 69floor on 1and 14 September.
Building on Nolcha Shows’ previous success in Web3 events
Nolcha Shows provides a chance for fashion and Web3 communities to get together in real life to exchange knowledge, insights, and experiences. It allows key stakeholders such as creators, investors, and founders to make contacts through education, entertainment, and networking channels, which in turn provide openings for collaboration using forward-thinking technology.
NYFW Web3 edition will build on the success Nolcha Shows has already enjoyed with its series of Web3 events during NFT.NYC, Art Basel, Bitcoin Conference, Consensus and Permissionless.
What can visitors look forward to at this innovative event?
Over the several days that the event takes place, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in an NFT gallery, Web3 panel discussions, and runway shows.
Also expected to coincide with the event will be online Web3 activations. ChainGuardians, for example, will offer two consumer experiences to those in attendance: a virtual reality (VR) area featuring select items in the ChainGuardians Meta Street Wear line, and an AR area giving visitors the chance to interact with digital models wearing the ChainGuardians attire.
Meanwhile, the artificial intelligence (AI) and AR beauty and fashion tech provider, Perfect Corp, will provide fans with an interactive runway beauty experience within the YouCam Makeup app.
