I’ve been obsessed with films ever since I watched Star Wars as a child. I love being immersed in a film and escaping into it’s depths, more-so at the temple that is the cinema, I've missed it immensely during lockdown. I’m a massive Star Wars fan, my favourite director is Martin Scorcese and favourite actor is Robert De Niro. I couldn’t name a favourite film but amongst them are Empire Strikes Back, The Godfather, Goodfellas, Superman, Smokey and the Bandit, and Pulp Fiction. You will usually find me quoting dialogue from films to myself or with my colleague Tom with whom I share this love for film.

I am a sneaker fanatic and avid collector. I have a growing collection, including 5 pairs of rare Air Jordans that I’ve not yet worn. I have a Winter Collection and a Summer Collection and keep the majority of them boxed. The pair in the image here are a Limited Edition Air Jordan 5 and their first outing was in my garden on a Saturday night in lockdown. I love the feel of a clean comfortable, uniquely designed pair of sneakers - there is nothing quite like it.

I love cars and I love Formula 1 racing. Watching the best drivers in the world race in these amazing machines at 230mph is exhilarating to watch. I’m a Mercedes man and follow Lewis Hamilton. I was lucky enough to be at Spa Belgium when he won a thrilling race against Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel, I plan go again next year. F1 cars now use hybrid technology which is healthier for the environment than previous formulas, and they plan to use fully carbon neutral engines by 2030. I filled the absence of F1 through lockdown by watching old races and am happy it’s back. My colleague Alex also loves cars, and you can usually find us drooling over beautiful cars we see on the street.

I’m sure I eat cheese everyday, whether it’s a proper cheese platter, in a sandwich, a random piece or a Babybel here and there. I think I have picked up this love for cheese from my Dad. My preferred choice of cheeses include Mature Cheddar, Blue Cheese, Brie, Smoked Applewood and chilli and cumin infused. I recently discovered a Cinnamon infused which is amazing but generally if it’s cheese I’ll eat it! I enjoy pairing my cheese with a nice red wine; usually a Malbec, with some olives and dried meat.

As well as being a film buff I’m also a filmmaker. It’s an amazing feeling of delight when you mix together footage, audio, and a score to join it all together. Along with finely timed cuts, effects and grading it’s extremely satisfying to see the final product. Currently I’m editing my film Dreamer which should be finished in the next couple of months.

Myself and my fiancé both love to cook and lockdown was a good opportunity to experiment with new recipes. I am a big fan of lamb and my new lamb chops marinade has been a frequent addition to our menu, especially since the weather has been better and we can barbeque. Mine use more indian flavours whilst my fiance does a greek version which I love.

I have a large family and am used to spending lots of time with them, so it was difficult not having the same interaction through lockdown. Thanks to technology we were able to connect digitally. I missed everyone and it’s great that things are easing and we can start spending more time together. Thankfully, my fiancé Nirja has been with me through lockdown. I have no idea how she manages to put up with me and keep me sane, but somehow she does, she’s pretty awesome.
